I Am Here Now
When you join the Libertarian Party, you sign a statement saying that you “do not believe in or advocate the initiation of force as a means of achieving political or social goals.” This is basically to keep the bomb-wielding fanatics out.
For about an hour today I was seriously contemplating switching parties.
Then the line actually rang, and I got the peppiest DMV employee I’ve ever encountered. She asked me, “How you doing?” I said, “Okay, now. I finally got through.” And then she said, “Well, you’re here now!” And I thought, yeah, I am here now.
Tomorrow I get my license back. Then I can be everywhere now.

People Tossing the ‘N’ Word Around Carelessly
You listen to this, and tell me if it sounds like “90 seconds of violent Nirvana axe exultation.”
In their band bio, they say this song “lasts for exactly 94 seconds of steamrolling guitar tsunami but will stay ringing inside your head forever.” Can you guess which part is true? Hint: It has nothing to do with catchiness or huge waves.

Site Update III
The and tags work in comments, and I fixed a bug resulting from using question marks and quotation marks in the same comment—a cousin of the bug I talked about here a while back. (I’m not even going to bother to link to that entry.)
Let me know if you encounter any more errors. I will fix them.

Barbie Cued, Bar Bed Cubes, Bar Be Kyu
I’m bad at the “we had a party, it was a good time” kind of entry, but, fortunately, I have included in my life at least one short, bespectacled, cap wearing, gregarious friend, who is.
Highlights for me have to be Robert’s unintentionally Australia-shaped “hamburgers” and convincing Brian Collette that yes, actually, he likes the Pixies, despite strong statements to the contrary.
It really was a great time. Don’t worry, I’m not turning this site back into Happy Dei, but I don’t think it’s trite to repeat Robert’s statement: life is good.

I’m Gonna Play in the Toilet Bowl
Though victory yet eludes them, the Maulers continued to show improvement Monday and Tuesday, losing 3-2 to Taylor’s Penis, I mean Phoenix Guard, and 2-1 to Bo’s undead team (with those lame ass mummies!).
The malicious, malevolent miasma of the Maulers proved fatal to the Guard, causing 3 deaths and 3 bad injuries, while receiving none.
Bo’s team (with those damn Mummies!) proved hardier. No casualties on either side, though one was averted by the Mauler’s coach with judicious use of a healing scroll.
Maulers’ management, in a statement to the press on Tuesday, said they were confident in their goal of obtaining a victory by the end of the season, and of course ultimately cleaning up, as it were, at the Toilet Bowl.

What Price Topicality?
Continuously updating this site seems to reduce the likelihood of me writing long entries.
Not that this post is an exception, of course.

Site improvements
The archives are back (hah hah hah), and they’re working better than ever. This means Bo’s will soon, too.

Blood Colander
Yes, I’ve joined the fray. With my successful takeover of Brian D’Ambrosio’s human team, I am poised to [insert great accomplishment here] in the remaining four games of the season.
I’ve renamed the former Middenheim Marauders to the Middenheim Maulers, in a bit of wishful thinking. Since I own my players’ souls, they’ll each probably be renamed as well.
In my first Blood Bowl action, I lost 5 to 0 to Brian C’s team—which I’ve forgotten the name of. If this performance doesn’t improve, I’ve threatened to change our name to the Middenheim Mediogres.
Gratuitous smack-talking: Brian is just lucky I didn’t injure more of his players.
Alright, that smack was weak, but so was I. I did break his 7 game killing streak, however. He just couldn’t cut me out.

Hard to Port! Aye, aye, Captain!
In case you haven’t noticed, I’ve finally begun the process of porting my site to the content management system I built for Bo. This should motivate me to fix the bugs he seems intent on creating in my formerly flawless (not to mention shiny) system.
It also enables me to offer a comment function. As if I cared what you had to say!
